Jet lag. We've all had it, we all hate it, and yet we're all none the wiser on how to get rid of it. But now there's a new way alleviate that 3pm slump after a long flight – apparently.
The latest in wearable technology is the crowd-funded Ayo, a "light-based, energy-boosting" pair of glasses. Using a bluetooth connected app for your smartphone and with its light sensors above the eyes, it adjusts light levels to help refine your "internal rhythm", optimising your energy levels when you need it most.
The claims that just twenty minutes of wearing this gear can help you get over your jet lag. When you enter your flight itinerary into the app it works out when you need to wear the glasses, and for how long, in order to avoid that wide-awake feeling at 4am.
We're still a little stumped as to how it really works, but the tech has smashed its $50,000 target.
